Once in a while do you ever stumble upon a shop that you one, never knew was there and then two, was totally impressed and psyched that it even existed? If not, get ready. Revolver Consignment Boutique did just that and then some!

Located on Glenwood Ave in downtown Raleigh, this hidden gem is an upscale consignment shop for clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc.My experience began with a word of mouth recommendation and then I really started to ponder a few things in my closet that needed a new girlfriend. So I gave it a shot, set up an appointment and brought my goodies in to the boutique. The gals in the shop are super sweet and then you start to browse around. You all know that feeling when you heart begins to skip a beat and you get all excited  in a cute shop? You start to get a crush on any item you touch because they are all just so worthy? Well, I spent plenty of time browsing the dresses and fingering the scarves. I was head over heels. I totally know where I am going to shop when it is time for the holiday party season....

So get in there, check it out and pick up an item or two. I won't use this blog as self-promotion to lead you toward my items but GET IN THERE and buy something. This way, when my items sell, I know exactly where I will be spending my cash too.

J'Adore

If you haven't been in to Coquette in North Hills, then you are missing out! Once again, we were in Coquette for Sunday brunch and they did not disappoint. The crepes are delish, the oeufs are perfection (even my husband gives their poached eggs a thumbs up - which is rare!) and the service is attentive. Besides the menu items that I could rave on and on about, I also love taking in the ambiance and decor. The ivory, black and tan really make an impression on me. It just feels lovely. And I will admit to all of you that quite a while back, while on our 1st visit to Coquette, that I took pictures of the tiled floor with my phone. I just fell in love with the pattern and decided to snap the pics so I could use it as a reference one day for ... not sure. But anyway, the decor really lends to the open and catered to feeling you get while dining.

One part of the ambiance that I love is the windows/doors that open so you can dine al fresco. With the sunny crisp days of Fall upon us, this just makes my day. I also love this in the Spring when you start to get the hint of warmth coming in. Nothing can make me smile more.

Fearrington Village

I know, you are all wondering why there is a post on Fearrington Village when this blog is about Raleigh! Well, we all know that we sometimes leave Raleigh and we go and visit other cute, fun, historic or just sweet places in North Carolina. So this is part of a series of posts that from time to time we will share favorite LWR places to go - places that make living in Raleigh that much more fun. It can be a day time trip or a long weekend out of town.

To start off the 'Sometimes you leave Raleigh' post is a favorite place of mine. It holds a dear place in my heart as I celebrated my marriage at this lovely Village. Fearrington Village. Nestled about 8 miles south of Chapel Hill, Fearrington is easy to get to, makes you feel spoiled and stylish, and provides sooooo much eye candy.

To start off the tour - take in a few pics of the grounds. Just walking along these paths and taking in these views makes me feel peace and serenity

And then, when you are ready for lunch, or my favorite - brunch on the weekends, head on over to The Old Granary. You will just need to go there yourself to get to see the darling decor indoors! Kinda french provincial with the hardwoods lending to the familiar ambiance. Tasty, yummy and fresh food, all with impeccable service.

Farmer's Market

One of my favorite parts of Fall is spending time at the Farmer's Market in downtown Raleigh. Fall can make me crave colors and foods I never even knew I liked! There is just something so romantic about the Fall - the colors, the temperatures (warm by day and cool and cozy by night), and the comfort foods. After spending some time this weekend picking out pumpkins for the front porch and decorating, and also picking up fresh produce, it is now time to share.
